Tellus Mater

Tellus Mater is the creative vision of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Todd Rouse, Blending alt-rock, pop, and cinematic soundscapes, Todd brings emotional depth and polished production to his newest chapter.

His debut single as Tellus Mater, “Alone With You,” releases November 25, 2025, leading into a forthcoming five-song EP that showcases his signature mix of honesty, atmosphere, and storytelling.

Todd first made his mark with the band East of Gideon, which rose out of the South Florida scene before relocating to Los Angeles. The band quickly gained momentum, selling out venues like the Whisky a Go Go and landing a six-album deal with JRS Records. As a Keyboardist, Vocalist and Songwriter.  Todd shared stages with Lenny Kravitz, Nirvana, and Rage Against the Machine, and worked in the studio with acclaimed talents including Butch Vig and Greg Ladanyi.

Todd channels his musical journey into Tellus Mater, creating soulful, original music driven by lush, immersive production.
